about

Zoffy is the duo of Acid Mothers Temple members Atsushi Tsuyama and Makoto Kawabata, formed in 1998. The music hints both at the members' deep musical knowledge via their improvised performances of troubadour music and European trad, and also at their deep love for rock via their destructivist covers of classic rock songs, that no longer sounds like anything but Zoffy. The group believes that humor is essential in music, and their unprecedented performances stray far from the beaten track. Is this the Ultima Thule that rock music has long been aiming for?

Zo Zo Zo Zo Zoffy!!! is the band's second album, originally released in November 1998 as a CD-R limited to 100 numbered copies, as part of the Acid Mothers Temple label's Gold Disc Series (AMCD-008). It was chosen as the best album of 1998 by Hoppy Kamiyama (God Mountain) in Indie's Magazine.

Reissued by Synesthetic Recordings (SYRE 006) on 3 June 2002 as an LP limited to 200 copies each on pink, blue and black 220 gram vinyl, with new track order and gatefold sleeve with new artwork.
